2012 Wega Arts One Act Play Festival & Script ContestWega Arts will be hosting its first annual one-act play festival & contest June 21-24. We are now accepting submissions for original one-act plays. Three plays will be selected for staged productions at the Gerold Opera House in Weyauwega, Wisconsin. Three additional plays will also be chosen for staged readings. Cash prizes will be awarded to all six selected plays. Our judges will select 1st, 2nd & 3rd place awards for the top three plays as well as awards for staged readings.

Guidelines:
Plays must have had no prior public productions, however, prior staged readings are allowed. The run time of the play should not exceed 50 minutes (approximately 50 pages). Plays must be in English; Foreign language plays with an English translation are allowed. If your play is selected you will be sent a contract to negotiate for the performances in the festival. All further rights remain with the playwright.
How To Submit:
Plays must be submitted electronically via email.
Digital copies should be in Microsoft Word (preferred) or PDF.
Payments can be made using Paypal or by check or Money Order made out to Wega Arts. Playwright's name and play title must be submitted with Paypal payment and written on Check or Money Order. Submission date will be based on email submission date of play. Plays will not be considered until payment has been made and cleared. Submission Fees go towards prize money and judges.
