The Wega Players

Suzan Dyer has appeared in many of the local theater events.  Her roles have ranged from a Christmas mouse to a singing clown to a cucumber.  She has directed both adults and children in musical productions connected with the schools. She works as a first grade teacher in Weyauwega and makes her home there as well.  She is excited to be involved in this adventure with these extremely talented individuals and hopes that the audiences thoroughly enjoy our show.

John Hammond began his official acting career (beyond just being a class clown) in 1997, playing a supporting role in a comedy show played on local cable TV in Minneapolis. Since moving to Waupaca in 1998, he’s been involved in numerous Waupaca Community Theater productions and Chorus & Civic Orchestra concerts as choir member and soloist.  He currently performs with gospel group Shepherd’s Quarter, and occasionally with Ivorywinds and Trinity Quartet. He thanks Amy and the very talented cast for letting him be a part of this truly original production.

Eric Hendrickson has been a resident of Waupaca for 11 years, attorney in private practice in New London by day, frustrated garage band musician by night. Currently plays guitar in a variety of area bands. Veteran of the "Evening of Radio" broadcasts--this is Eric's third time in the cast.  Favorite character is Brett Chapman/Reginald T. Howell the Fourth.  Loves working with this cast and director, and looking forward to four great shows!

Dave Larson has been involved with theatrical productions for over 25 years. Most of his efforts have been behind the scenes as the set construction director of the Waupaca High School musical performances since the 1980’s. In recent years he has appeared in front of the curtain in several roles in Waupaca Community Theater productions. Since it’s beginning Dave has been with the WEGA Players as their announcer, sound effects generator, and bit player. He looks forward to another great show entertaining with and being entertained by his fellow players!

Donna Rickel isn't telling her age, but she admits to listening to the original Baby Snooks on the radio. She has been in "The Theater" in one form or another since appearing in her sister's first production in the haymow on the family farm. Since then Donna has played roles from a drunken housekeeper to Dolly Levy, with stops along the way as a murdering sweet old lady and Swedish maid.  On a much smaller scale, she plays to preschool audiences as the Waupaca Library's Reading Grandma.  And she occasionally takes on the role of Mrs. Kris Kringle.

Amy Kurylo is a jack of many trades in the world of the arts. She has loved writing, directing and being a part of these shows. Amy also is a vocal instructor at the Waupaca High School, a songwriter, and a vocalist for the River Cities Jazz Band which is an 18 piece orchestra in central Wisconsin. Amy would like to thank WEGA ARTS, her friends, family - including her mother, husband Mike, Brianna and Phillip for being so supportive of this project.
